The Bidding Process for HOA’s Explained
From a homeowners’ association perspective, the bidding and decision-making process of choosing a local painting company follows four basic steps. When the HOA decides that their homes, whether houses, condos, or townhomes’ repainting is on the to-do list, they begin the search for the perfect solution. The first being to identify what your project will be.
Secondly, find out if you have the funds. At this point if you proceed to step three, if not, ask yourself if “Is this something urgent and in need of special assessments?” Please contact Hedlund Painting for a budget price.
The third thing to do is to acquire a paint manufacturer’s spec (specification) packet. These will help make the bidding process streamlined and afford you the Managers and boards an apple to apple comparison among your bids. The Spec will tell Hedlund Painting specific details tailored to your community requirements. These include groups of colors either pre-approved by the HOA or recommended for your property.
Hedlund Painting will use these specs to enter bids and submit proposals to the HOAs boards and/or managers directly. Other projects that we can perform are wood replacement, power washing of units, and other items. Feel free to contact Hedlund Painting for referrals of the many paint manufacturers available to you and equipped to provide Specs.
